It was a great city in Sri Lanka which came in to prominence during its' brief period of 2 centuries of Sri Lankan history, being second only to the ancient city of Anuradhapura in ancient cultural heritage.

On your way to Sigiriya the next day, you will stop for a visit to the Aukana Buddha Statue and the Dambulla Cave Temple. Sigiriya is an archaeological site in North Central Sri Lanka. It contains the ruins of an ancient palace complex, built during the reign of King Kashyapa (477AD – 495 AD). It is one of the 7 world heritage sites in Sri Lanka and is one of its most popular tourist destinations. Sigiriya rock fortress is tipped to be the 8th. wonder of the world.

The next morning you will begin your journey to the hill capital of Kandy. You will visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and have obtain blessings from the Buddhist Monks there. The sacred city of Kandy was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, The Sacred Tooth Relic (Dalada) of the Buddha is the most venerated object of worship for Buddhists. Its present house, the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy, Sri Lanka is considered the foremost sacred place of worship in the Buddhist world

Leisure in Negombo beach or After breakfast tour of Colombo which includes busy bazaar area, Kovils, Temples, Independence square, BMICH ETC, then according to the flight schedule transfer to the airport for the departure.
